Before I forget, some of you asked how I prepped my new BFF, the kabocha.  Well, thanks to my new bloggy friend and kabocha queen Maggie, from The Salad Girl and newbie site Healthy Yum, my kabocha was sheer perfection!  Check out her “What is kabocha?” post with lots of fabulous tips.

Gettin’ my food art on?  See below.

As a surprise for my sister (no worries – she’s on vacay and won’t read this :)), I am re-covering her yellowish ugly lampshade into a beautiful pretty green monster.  Over lunch, I ran to our friend JoAnn Fabrics (love JoAnn!) to see what I could find.  Fabulous fabric + adornments?  Check and check.

And I’m meeting Miss Angharad of Eating for England for a lil’ bloggy meet-up for dinner tomorrow night!  Sooo excited…I’m bringing her to my favorite haunt: Good Earth Cafe!

What’s on your to-do list?  Please tell me I’m not the only one with a gajillion things to do!

P.S. If you use Blogger, I’ve been having trouble commenting on some of your blogs today :(.  Just wanted to let you know I am still reading even though it won’t let me comment!

Thanks for the shoutout 🙂 I’m so glad you’re loving kabocha!!

  2. Matt Says:

GOOD JOB ON THE 3 MILER! Are you gonna be out there tomorrow too?

  3. Evan Thomas Says:

My to do list is pretty short now, but today I was absolutely insane. I’m just thrilled I got almost everything done AND managed to bake a loaf of pumpkin bread for breakfast/snacking at work.
And sometimes I feel like I’m eating baby food too and get odd looks. But I wish my parents fed me some of this food as a baby and not that jar stuff because it’s sooo good lol. Right now I’m happily dipping into a bowl of oatmeal/oatbran, pumpkin, maple almond butter, and salted slice almonds 🙂 Take that, Gerber

  4. jenngirl Says:

Nicely done today!! And I LOVE that lampshade! So cute 🙂

My to do list: blog, read blogs, bed, spin in the AM, and a haircut tomorrow afternoon..then an 8pm showing of Harry Potter with my BFF! Then I’m packing things up at home and heading back to my apartment, yayayayyy!

  5. Whit Says:

  7. Abby Says:

Lovin’ the lampshade, by the way.
Tomorrow for me is work all day and then a Whitecaps game at night (minor league baseball). I’m the biggest baseball fan ever.

Anyway, the thing with tomorrow’s game is that Adam from “Man vs. Food” on the Travel Channel is going to be there to try and conquer the “Fifth-Third Burger.” It’s this massive mound of (disgusting) gluttony that has five burger patties, chili, nacho chips, cheese, small woodland animals, etc. It’s gross, but he’s going to use it for an episode of his show.

Look for a crazy girl busting out some random dance moves behind him on camera (security be damned, I will be a star!)

  8. lowandbhold Says:
